From Berlin, totally into indie art-pop: minimal jazzy or swing drumming, cute boy/girl vocals, guitars sometimes noisy dissonant, xylophone, - a what if Yo La Tengo, The Victorian English Gentlemens' Club and Free Kitten were mated in a lab. - Anne Paschvoss (drms, melodica, voice), Pascal Aperdannier (gtr, piano, groovebox, voice), and His brother Mario Aperdannier (piano, groovebox) play some brilliant irresistible Music, fresh and 360° lovely, full of ideas and uptempo u-turns. They know how to play two chords and make something beautiful. - Milk And Die is my favorite name for a song for this year, and If Things Work Out has got a perfect pop melody (be sure that the sad tone verse 'today the coffee won't get warm' is well stuck into my head), together with Spring too (its satured piano-driven soul reminds me of Brasilia's fuzzy experiments). More, They like to play with words at the microphone and with spoken word too, from Sunset Lies to the above mentioned Milk And Die. Track entitled The Warm Sea has got an excellent lounge digression mixed with a frenzy lo-fi pause; Ice Cream is simply delicious as the summer story it tells. - La Batterie is that kind of Band that colours Music with passion, artistic sense and naturalness. - Ps. I read on Their myspace something that made me smile "In the end it all results in a kind of Spongebob-version of Sonic Youth" - i agree with that..
