I want to be frank with you. I'm a huge fan of Stephen Lawrie, and while I enjoyed the reincarnation of his Telescopes in 2011 (see live report), I have totally yawned with last year's gig in Rome, and no way I can say myself I satisfied my expectations with Hidden Fields record.. but, but but, Taste, this record, Third Wave, #4, - absolutely master pieces - if you still want my two cents.. And I also appreciate the crazy freedom-mess of Hungry Audio Tapes, Infinite Suns, HARM. But their.. HIS first records, they absolutely changed something in me.. Music is like food, everybody knows that (right?), and what you have for food, that change your body... Music feeds and change your soul.. soul, or whatever is that inner self in you. If not like food, (Good) Music is sea water.. it makes you want to drink more, and you're still thirsty, and on and on, your guts get destroyed..
Well, the sedation of #Untitled Second, after the fierce ferocity of Taste, it is like the controlled quiet after the storm. Like enjoying a gentle cold rain in the early morning light, after the burning acid rainstorm. I can listen to this record in my car with my five years little girl and I'm sure she'll be gifted somehow with it. When she'll turn 13, Taste will do the rest.
Anyway, all this blabbing to say, I've just bought this CD, and it still sounds magic to me.. we're not anymore in 1992, right? Fuck that. This record is timeless.
not yet, probably nobody cares, or nobody cared enough to tell something. Also: nobody reads komakino.
