Noise pop, shoegaze as Swirlies may ever sound shoegaze.
Sharp guitars, fast tempos, boy/girl vocals, a sip of C86.
From Wisconsin and Illinois, USA.
One of those criminally-underrated bands, as it seems since the very first listening.
Olympic sleeper starts with a post-punk fried bass-drums riff, and then it opens to an abrasive pop form.
Dawn Bomb Parties is a perfect dreampop hit track.
Add some chemicals à la Pale Saints. Terry Nation goes rumbling and dissonant, brilliant pop tension.
Title track Newhouse gets the perfect balance of danceable drum beats, elegiac female vocals and a delicate cacophonous melody.
Fully enjoyable, never boring. Now press play.

not yet, probably nobody cares, or nobody cared enough to tell something. Also: nobody reads komakino.
