Radiant spleen and indie pop delicacy match into The Vickers's clean melodies, - a four piece-Band from Florence, ITA, not far from a music being between Sixpence None the Ritcher (guitar riff in Silence) and The Coral, although there's not exactly a vintage aftertaste in Their tunes like for the above mentioned. Accessible, yet not mainstream, The Vickers are quietly infectious, - These Days has got a perfect sad tone chorus, that kind of slow melancholic energy that proves They can write some excellent musical phrasing, even somehow mature. Andrea Mastropietro's vocals sometimes recall a younger Thom York, respectful without being slavish (don't worry, there are no falsetto), - harmonies well swirl along See My Freedom, as well for faster Everything is Tourning Around - a good company indeed. A fairly good promotional debut.

The Vickers - The Vickers (4tx promo, 13'51'' - self prod.
