L'universo della Rosa è ampissimo e va molto aldilà della bellezza di questa pianta. Vorremmo padroneggiare la scienza che la studia in tutta la sua espansione, la fantomatica rodologia. Mirando più in basso però, quest'estate non ci dispiacerebbe nemmeno passare qualche giorno all'isola di Rodi, chiamata cosí dagli antichi greci proprio perché - ai loro tempi - era piena di Rose.
Sappiamo però che rimarremo in città.
Quantomeno non dovremmo cercare nessuno per dar l'acqua alle piante sul nostro balcone. E poi magari passano da queste parti i Rosàrio.
Non sappiamo se i nostri potranno mai arrivare in tour anche a Rodi, di sicuro ci starebbero come a casa loro nelle Desert session dalle parti di Palm Spring.
Abbiamo ancora i traumi per la botta di saudade dopo il passaggio dei redivivi Kyuss lives! di due anni fa all'Orion di Roma. Nonostante l'ottima resa generale in quell'occasione Bruno Fevery non ha esattamente brillato come un genio della tecnica al posto di Josh Homme. In alcuni passaggi il gigantesco Nicola Pinotti in confronto non avrebbe assolutamente sfigurato. Di sicuro tutta la band sembra avere lo spirito giusto comunque per seguire i dogmi della famigerata Caterpillar March.
Una vaghissima attinenza del cantato a quello di Layne Thomas Staley degli Alice in Chains rende anche sinistramente disperate e angosciante le tirate esuberatamente stoner di tutto collettivo. A nostro modo di vedere i Rosario rendono ancora meglio nelle parti più lente dove l'ossessività e la potenza dei riff assume riflessi di una psichedelia torbida e sabbiosa. Come quella dei vecchi Snail. Da segnalare la presenza del Cikas (Menrovescio, Lorø, Bruce Fisting), dietro alla seconda chitarra e alla grafica. Splendida come sempre.

The universe of rose is wide and goes beyond the beauty of this amazing plant. We would love to handle the science that analyzes it in all its varieties. The phantomatic rodology. Aiming lower leads, anyway, we could also find our happiness in the beach of Rhodes, next summer. Ancient greeks named this way the island because of the immense growing of roses there, at that time.
But we know we'll spend summertime in the city. On the other side of the coin, we won't need to look for someone taking care of our plants in the balcony. And perhaps, Rosàrio could come and play a gig here in Rome.
We don't know if Rosàrio may reach also Rodi on tour. We are sure that they may feel very comfortable like in a Desert session there at Palm Spring.
We are still suffering for the saudade brought to us by Kyuss lives! two years ago in Rome, at Orion club. It was a beautiful show. Some reservers on Bruno Fevery, not exactly in the role for replacing Josh Homme. Maybe, in comparison, the enormous Nicola Pinotti could have done better. For sure, the whole band seems to have the right hand to follow the famous Caterpillar March.
A vague assonance with vocalist Layne Thomas Staley from Alice in Chains makes desperate and anguishing all of their heavy riffs. In our opinion, Rosàrio are more incisive in the slow parts, where the compulsiveness and the loudness get the shape of a sandy and murky psychedelia. Behind the graphics and the second guitar, there is Cikas (Menrovescio, Lorø, Bruce Fisting). And the artwork is fantastic as usual.
