Apprezziamo molto la grande Alice Munro. Anche se in quasi ogni racconto c'era qualcuno che si innamorava sempre di un professore di Lettere. Una volta l'autrice canadese scrisse molto saggiamente anche dei traslocatori e su come, spostare mobili da una casa all'altra, fosse un tipo di mestiere che finisce per esporre ripetutamente a inconfondibili forme di rancore. Oltre che a bucio di culo.
Non sappiamo quanti traslochi hanno fatto in vita loro i Leviathan, giovanissimo terzetto di Roma-Manziana.
In ogni loro eventuale peregrinazione devono tenere in modo particolare a tutti i 7'' di Breakwater e Pg. 99.
Sarà che li abbiamo visti per la prima volta assieme agli Addio e che territorialmente provengono da un'area non troppo distante di 2/3 degli indimenticati Desperate Living, ascoltando le 6 tracce di questo loro ep omonimo però viene subito da associarli al migliore screamo hardcore degli anni'90.
In realtà il loro lavoro seduce anche per tutta un'altra serie di fattori e per la potenza che sembrano avere per ridefinire e sviluppare quei modelli. A parte lo scream fuori dal microfono in Wounds o l'apparente citazione di Today's mask dei colossali Dehumanize nell'intro di Black summer i Leviathan colpiscono per il modo con cui scalfiscono la tipica corazza tetra e mastodontica dei vecchi Bloodlet (Victory rec.) adeguandola ad un'incedere epico ed emotivamente semplicemente disarmante.
Sono in tre. Produce Vfisik, il vero leviathano dei gruppi romani.

We like a lot Alice Munro. Although in almost every novel of hers, there would be always someone who fells in love with a literature teacher. Once, the Canadian author wrote very wisely also about house movers, and about how, moving furnitures from one house to another was a kind of job that ends up exposing repeatedly in unmistakable forms of resentment. In addition to a total exhaustion.

In any eventual pilgrimage, they must really get to the heart all Breakwater's and Pg. 99's 7 inches discs.
Maybe because we saw them for the first time sharing the stage with Addio, and territorially they are not that far from 2/3 of the unforgettable Desperate Living, anyway, if you listen to the 6 tracks of this self-titled EP, however, you soon place them with the best of 90's hardcore screamo.
Actually, their work seduces the listener in reason of a number of other factors and of a kind of strength able to redefine and develop those genre models. Aside screaming far from the mic with Wounds, or the apparent quotation of Dehumanize's Today's mask in the intro of the Black summer, Leviathan hit and scratch in a very special way the typical obscure armor of gigantic Bloodlet (Victory rec.), shaped around an epic ride, emotionally, simply disarming.
