A distanza di un anno mi ritrovo a scrivere del talentuoso monobanda iberico Tumba Swing; dopo il suo primo sette pollici, andato già in ristampa, ecco un altro 45 giri che nel titolo racchiude l'essenza di questa sua nuova fatica: Lamento Electrico.
Rispetto al suo primo lavoro questo è decisamente più intimista, meno scanzonato. Il lato A si apre con la title track ed è un ululato di disperazione. Tumba Swing è cresciuto; suona di gran lunga meglio il suo R'n'R con una ritmica serrata e un cantato in spagnolo che rende il tutto meno amaro. Follar è la seconda traccia contenuta nel primo lato; il ritmo si fa più travolgente come quella passione che, nonostante i tanti problemi che ci affliggono, fa andare avanti il mondo.
Il lato B è decisamente più cattivo … il R'n'R' di Tumba Swing con De Fachada non si mette nessuna maschera e tira dritto come un treno; ad una certa età si dovrebbe capire che è molto più facile essere sé stessi che cambiare continuamente facciata per sembrare quello che non si è mai stati. Il tutto si chiude con Carrera Mortal uno strumentalone in perfetto stile Davie Allan and The Arrows... allacciate le cinture che il monobanda spagnolo vi trascinerà lontano.

After one year, here I am again, to write about the talented Spanish one-man band Tumba Swing; after his first 7'' disc, now reissued, here is one more 45 rpm, which, since its title, encloses all the essence of this new work: Lamento Electrico.
Compared to his first release, this is far more intimate, less light-hearted. Side A opens with the title track, and is a howl of despair. Tumba Swing has grown, it sounds far better now his R'n'R with this tight rhythm, sung in Spanish, which makes everything less bitter. Follar is the second track contained in the A side, the beat becomes more overwhelming as that passion that, despite the many problems that plague us, makes the world go round.
The B side is definitely more rancid... Tumba Swing's R'n'R, with De Fachada, does not wear any mask, and pulls straight up like a train; at a certain age of your life, you should understand that it is much easier being yourself, instead of changing the facade over and over, trying to look like someone you have never been. It all ends with Carrera Mortal, one long instrumental piece à la Davie Allan and The Arrows... fasten your seat belts, the Spanish monoband will drag you away.
We wait anxiously to see him again in our Country.... satisfaction guaranteed.
