La fine di un anno e l'inizio di uno nuovo porta sempre con se una serie infinita di classifiche da dover stilare; tutti, ma proprio tutti, hanno la fottuta smania di dover classificare quello che più è piaciuto dei dodici mesi appena trascorsi. Il sottoscritto classifiche e classificazioni le lascia agli altri, con la speranza che prima o poi gli ultimi saranno i primi, inizio questo 2013 scrivendo dei Go!Zilla; esplosivo duo che vanta già un cambio di formazione alla batteria, una serie infinita di date in giro per l'Europa e questo 45 giri uscito per l'attenta Surfin'ki Records. Etichetta nostrana che ha il glorioso merito di investire vinilicamente sulle più interessanti band disseminate lungo lo stivale anche in un periodo di crisi come questo.
Il duo di Prato in questione ci fa iniziare col botto: I'm Bleeding. È un boato sonoro come neanche i più fragorosi fuochi di San Silvestro. Una miscela di sanguinate blues-punk-psichedelia che incenerisce ogni dubbio sul fatto che si comincia da subito a stare meglio ascoltando certa musica; basta lasciarsi andare al ritmo e muovere le chiappe.
You Got the Eye e la furia distruttrice dei Go!Zilla non si arresta. A chi non si è ancora perso nel vicolo cieco della musica di tendenza ecco servita una traccia indelebile di disagio; qui graffiante, sudicia, distorta come certi scenari di provincia. Per fortuna esiste ovunque uno sgangherato bar in piazza dove alcolizzarsi con un qualsiasi compagno di sbronze fino a notte inoltrata.

The end of a year and the beginning of a new one always brings with it an endless series of top ten to draw up, everyone, absolutely everyone, has go the fucking craving to classify what they liked most of the last twelve months. Personally, I leave them all the rankings and classifications, with the hope that sooner or later, the last will be first, so, I start 2013 writing about Go!Zilla, explosive duo which has had a line-up change at drums recently, and an endless series of gigs around Europe, plus, this 45'', released by the able Surfin'ki Records. The local record label that has the glorious skill of investing in vinyl-form on the most interesting bands scattered along the italian boot, even in a time of crisis like this.
The duo from Prato makes us start with a bang: I'm Bleeding. A big blast like not even the most thunderous fireworks of New Year's Eve can explode.
A mixture of bleeding blues-punk-psychedelia that incinerates any doubt about the fact that you can start to get better if you listen to certain kind of music, - just let yourself go to the beat, and move your ass.
You Got the Eye and the destructive fury of Go!Zilla doesn't slow down any less. For those who have not yet lost in the blind alley of mainstream music, here you go an indelible mark of discomfort; scratchy, dirty, distorted as some small towns scenarios. Luckly, there is everywhere a ramshackle bar downtown where you can get drunk with a good friend-in-alchool late at night.
