There's a permanent feeling of solitude, running along this 9 track album.
From Louisville, KY, USA, it's James Hewett's voice, in full grace, which elevates and makes vibrate the poetic load of these songs over the line.
Highways' holy room, the emotional album's title track Black Kite and Greater Times, the charming, percussive frenzy of Warsaw; Broken Strings is the alt-country song for the radio at night, Hope For is dramatic and sublime, Ketchup is a lo-fi parenthesis on fire, - all is written in an intimate low key: there's magic and atmospheric bitterness as rule, indie folk music and human frailty, - sort of REM and Songs: Ohia.
Hewett's carisma and lyrism is out of speech: - the outstanding album's finale with Home is truly an hymn to the sky.
Last but not least, a note for collectors: "Black Kite will be available on CD and digital formats, as well as a limited edition 250-copy pressing on clear 12″ vinyl (download included). Pre-orders begin at midnight EST on Sept. 25 at our store."

Nota finale per collezionisti: "Black Kite will be available on CD and digital formats, as well as a limited edition 250-copy pressing on clear 12″ vinyl (download included). Pre-orders begin at midnight EST on Sept. 25 at our store."
