Fire is hypnotic, it's object and motive of fantasies at the same time; fire makes us remember the first universal inhibition (you can't touch it), so it turns into the law's epifany; fire is the first creature, that, to born and grow up, needs to devour the pieces of wood that have generated it - and this born of flame has got a great sexual value, because it comes out from the rubbing, - and if you want to follow this psychoanalytic path, let's say that Freud told that the needed condition to control fire is the renunciation to turn it off with urination, and therefore the renunciation of instinctual life.
The fire can be dazzling light that you can not fix, the Sun, but duly instructed, as it becomes candlelight, we can play in a light darkness, night wakes, during which a lonely flame forces us to imagine. The nature of fire is upward, it reminds us of the transcendent and yet, perhaps because it was learned that it lives in the heart of the Earth, where only during the wake of the erupting volcanoes, it is a symbol of infernal depths.
And My head for a Goldfish have got that fire, bloody hell.
We can't say much more. It comes to my mind Ecce Bombo [an italian movies from 70s, - k's note]. One one hand, it is the most anachronistic thing that you can see on youtube, but it is also impossible you can't appreciate it each time, getting new facets you didn't notice before, - you see it under a new light.
Similarly , Mhfag Mhfag are deeply attached to the sound of the '90s, but it is as if they were the first to understand how a perfect synthesis between Cows and Fugazi can exist, and how it will break your ass forever and ever. Maybe it's just beacuse that after the release of Crash of Rhinos (one of bests of latest 7 years) we holed up in the past but we like it too much.
If it was possible to play kalkitos with Jesus Lizard or Cop Shoot Cop and copy the silhouette of their emo component ('90) on the back of a flyer for a live gig of Fine before you came ('90), - I am sure that Mhfag keeps one like that on the back of their guitar.

Il fuoco ipnotizza ed è dunque il primo oggetto e movente al tempo stesso del fantasticare; il fuoco ci ricorda la prima inibizione universale (non bisogna toccarlo), diventando cosí epifania della legge; il fuoco è la prima creatura che, per nascere e crescere, divora i due pezzi di legno che lo hanno generato - e questa nascita del fuoco ha una forte valenza sessuale perchè il seme della fiamma scaturisce dallo sfregamento - e d'altra parte, se si vuole continuare in una lettura psicoanalitica, ricorderemo che per Freud la condizione per padroneggiare il fuoco è la rinuncia di spegnerlo con la minzione, e dunque la rinuncia alla vita pulsionale.
Il fuoco può essere luce abbagliante chè non si può fissare il Sole, ma dovutamente ammaestrato, come quando diventa luce di candela, ci consente giochi di chiaroscuro, veglie notturne nel corso delle quali una fiamma solitaria ci costringe solo a immaginare. La natura del fuoco è ascensionale, ci richiama alla trascendenza e tuttavia, forse perchè si è appreso che vive nel cuore della Terra da dove erutta solo durante il risveglio dei vulcani esso è simbolo di profondità inferali.

Non siam in grado di dire altro. Mi viene in mente giusto Ecce Bombo.
Da un lato è la cosa più anacronistica che si possa vedere su youtube, dall'altra è impossibile non apprezzarne ogni volta degli spunti nuovi che lo fanno apprezzare da una luce diversa rendendolo attuale.
Anche se c'è Minzolini da ggiovane.
Allo stesso modo i Mhfag sono paurosamente attaccati al suono degli anni '90, ma è come se fossero i primi a capire che la sintesi perfetta tra Cows e Fugazi può esistere e romperà il culo per sempre. Sarà che dopo l'uscita dei Crash of Rhinos (disco degli ultimi 7 anni) siam rintanati nel passato ma ci è presa troppo bene.
Se è possibile giocare con i trasferelli con i Jesus Lizard o i Cop Shoot Cop e copiarne la sagoma della loro componente emo ('90) sul retro di un flyer di un concerto dei Fine before you came ('90) i Mhfag ce l'hanno ben custodito nel fodero della loro chitarra*.
