Young three piece band from Catania, Italy, on that italian american curve connecting Sicily (Sacha Tilotta, recordings) to Chicago (Bob Weston - mastering), for a nine track promotional debut demo, 100 copies, blending brilliant indie noise rock inventiveness, 90's lo-fi current.
Sips of fuzz sound à la Polvo and Dinosaur Jr, or also Urusei Yatsura's oblique pop, and, notwithstanding they're still pretty naive to properly shine on that path marked by the abrasive stardust of the above mentioned alternative music legends, I think they are following the correct coordinates to find someday soon the needed glue to their bittersweet writing (Arelle in Wonderland, as well the potential single Hail the Lil Gorilla), now still missing a better defined shape, something needed to gain the right noise-pop boost.
They have guitar solo (Billie Joe's Colorful Laughter), loaded with distorted bass lines, radio-friendly refrains (Jessie's Disappeared), but - I think - it is still all mounted in a song form / alchemy which lacks in definition, that crazy thing called chorus/verse/chorus: - some trimming here and there would be good to focus on the memorability of their intentions. Said that, thumbs up.

Sorsate di sound fuzz à la Polvo e Dinosaur Jr, o anche il pop obliquo degli Urusei Yatsura, e nonostante i nostri siano ancora un po' troppo naive per brillare sul tracciato di questa abrasiva polvere di stelle, credo che stiano seguendo la giusta rotta per trovare un giorno il giusto collante alla loro scrittura agrodolce (Arelle in Wonderland, o quello che potrebbe essere la loro hit Hail the Lil Gorilla); per il momento ancora languono di una ben definita forma canzone, necessaria a guadagnare in boost noise-pop.
Gli assoli di chitarra ce li hanno (Billie Joe's Colorful Laughter), coadiuvati da linee distorte di basso e ritornelli radio-friendly (Jessie's Disappeared), ma ritengo che ci sia ancora molto da riorganizzare, insomma, qualche taglio qua e là aiuterebbe quella chimica misteriosa del chorus/verse/chorus, e ne gioverebbe la memorabilità delle loro intenzioni. Detto ciò, pollice sù.
