Time for sincere intimacy: pages from the diary of who you'd say a sensitive soul, Andrea Caccese, written in the ink of folk guitar, electric riffs and pizzicato, microphone, suave violin and other strings breeze. Drumless.
European more than Italian, with - I read - new homebase in Västerås (Sweden), helped out by cellist Nadja Ali, Caccese releases his debut that can be traced under the trembling coordinates of Elliot Smith and Kevin Devine: fragility is the key of the delicate structure of his airy melodies, with the feeling the these tracks were recorded in a bright, big windowed bedroom more than in a studio hidden in the basement.
Two chamber folk pop songs, one carillon interlude, and a final track with the voice+guitar+one mic formula, enjoy his pages.
