Still two days in Germany and then one gig in Italy - this is Ceremony's first european tour, and I hope to see these guys on stage in Rome too someday soon. What a shame they don't pay a visit downhere. Anyway.
Ceremony - as previously mentioned on komakino - keep hold that vibrating line / naked wire connecting New Order and The Jesus and Mary Chain, psychedelic noise pop, fuzzed and rancid, - and these four new tracks, except done for Dreams Stripped Away, seducing and sedated downtempo, are pure vitriolic speed.
You know that story about half full or half empty, well someday you feel like you finally understood that it's never empty, because it's full of oxygen anyway, - in this case, pure oxygen, that kind of a high concentration of oxygen that rich people buy to get high, - the ultimate natural drug.
So it is for Ceremony: a balance of noise and its mayem left, where Take You Down is filled with the perfect tempo for an hypnotic dancefloor.
Melancholic melodies, charged with drum machine, two vocals, feedback galore, reverb, distortion for guitars and bass. Shoegaze and goth coordinates. That recipe.

Ancora due date in Germania, e poi sabato suonano a Pordenone in Italia, - e cosí finirà il primo tour europeo degli americani Ceremony, che spero di riuscire a vedere prima o poi a Roma. Che peccato, anzi, che non scendano qua giù. Vabbè.
I Ceremony - come già menzionato prima su komakino, - tengono ferma quella linea vibrante / cavo elettrico scoperto, che connette New Order and The Jesus and Mary Chain, cioè psichedelia noise pop, fuzzosa e rancida, - e queste nuove quattro traccio, ad eccezion fatta per il seducente e sedato downtempo di Dreams Stripped Away, sono pura velocità al vetriolo.
Conoscete quella storia del mezzo pieno o mezzo vuoto, beh, un giorno Vi capiterà di aver finalmente dissipato ogni dubbio considerando che il bicchiere è sempre pieno, perchè nel vuoto c'è comunque l'ossigeno, - in questo caso, puro ossigeno, di quel tipo altamente concentrato che i ricconi si comprano per drogarsi, - la droga più naturale.
Cosí è per i Ceremony: un equilibrio di noise e - l'altra metà - di caos lasciato a sè stesso, dove Take You Down è una tempesta di beat perfetti per ballarci ipnotizzati.

Barbedwirekisses writes:eeeeeeeeeeeeeeh i ceremony a roma!!!! io ci ho provato PERSONALMENTE con tutte le forze a portarli un pò in giro per l'italia (sfidando vari boicottaggi) ma è stato impossibile!!! purtroppo finchè noi amanti della BUONA musica "non hype" saremo così pochi sarà IMPOSSIBILE portarli in giro...
