One more time, it's never to late to discover a good record. Even if
dated 2009.
We might consider Leg Leg like an all-stars indie super band, seen it features three well-regarded figures of the italian underground non-scene: the prolific Mattia Coletti (musician, sound engineer - not for nothing, here the sound production - by Coletti - is gorgeous), the kick-ass drummer Roberto Ceccacci from Lleroy, and my favorite local bass player, Andrea Giommi from Edible Woman.
Instrumental three piece, debut album (hopefully not end in itself), about 23 minutes of math angularity going smooth, cognitive formulas of adrenaline, where Mattia Coletti draws cyclic patterns of guitar loops that Giommi interlaces with quick sharp riffs, while Ceccacci - human metronome - is pure tempo control, the icing on the cake.
There's no violence, only power and people who know how to handle with it. If you like Maserati and Battles, - the answer is Leg Leg. Pieces such as Southern Technologies, A Roof In Spring, and the autism of the album's title track Manta, will make your maths homeworks. An exciting performance.

Ancora una volta, non è mai troppo tardi per gustarsi un buon disco, anche se datato un paio di anni fa.
Potremmo considerare i Leg Leg come una sorta di band all-star, visto che figurano tre stimati poco-ignote figure della non-scena undeground italiana: il prolifico Mattia Coletti (musicista e ingegnere del suono, - non per niente, il lavoro che fa qui nella produzione è di tutto rispetto), il tuttocalcinculo batterista Roberto Ceccacci dei Lleroy, e il mio bassista preferito del confine italico, Andrea Giommi degli Edible Woman.
Three piece strumentale, album di debutto (e speriamo non episodio singolo), circa 23 minuti di angolarità math che scorre liscia, formule cognitive di adrenalina, dove Mattia Coletti disegna pattern ciclici di loop di chitarra che Giommi interlaccia con veloci riff taglienti, mentre Ceccacci - metronomo umano - è puro controllo dei tempi, la ciligiegina sulla torta.
Non c'è violenza, ma potere e gente che sa come gestirlo. Se Vi piacciono Maserati e Battles, - la risposta è Leg Leg. Pezzi come Southern Technologies, A Roof In Spring, e l'autismo della traccia che dà nome all'album, Manta, Vi aiuteranno a fare i compiti di matematica a casa. Una performance sopra le righe.
