I read HAVAH is Michele Camorani's side-project, drummer of La Quiete, national heroes of hardcore punk, screamo.
Differently, Adriatic sea no surf is pure ultra lo-fi shoegaze music with goth-pop vs surf-pop shades, that kind of noise-rock oxymoron made (not-that) popular by Skywave and Ceremony, although HAVAH's songs and recordings sound too genuine and unrehearsed, often even with the suspect of being one-take recordings (sometimes out-of-tune and out-of-tempo, also), so I believe there's no slavish copying.
But that's why I like this record, plus, it is pretty uncommon in Italy to find something like that, overdosed with reverb pedals, sharp guitars, and, at the same time, good refrains.
Probably 8 tracks of chorus effect on Camorani's voice is not that bearable, yet, tracks like I hate girls eating sandwitches, the oblique notes of Release the owls, We are Japan, and the splinter Face the fact are to play loud, and a good soil to grow.

Diversamente, questo Adriatic sea no surf è musica shoegaze ultra lo-fi, con rimandi goth/surf-pop, quella sorta di ossimoro noise-rock reso (non tanto) popolare da Skywave e Ceremony, sebbene il taglio dei HAVAH suoni troppo genuino, nonchè con il sospetto a più riprese di buona-la-prima (più la media non curanza dell'accordare gli strumenti, e i tempi) per andare a pensare male. Anzi, è proprio per questo che mi piace questo disco, tra l'altro, piuttosto inusuale per il panorama italieno, tra l'overdose di riverbero sulle chitarre, suoni taglienti, e allo stesso tempo dei validi ritornelli.
Probabilmente, 8 tracce di chorus sulla voce non è esattamente sostenibile, ma pezzi quali I hate girls eating sandwitches, le note oblique di Release the owls, We are Japan, e la scheggia Face the fact sono tutti da suonare a volume alto e un buon terreno per far crescere qualcosa.
