Dedo, aka Stefano Panzera, one more time can count on numbers: his former release was on 9.12 rec, and his newest Flow is released by 42 rec.
And I got a formula ready for you, too: 9 + 12 * 2(nd) album = 42 records. How fun, isn't it?
Okay, actually it's not, but Panzera's new record has got the right numbers to be again worthy of respect, since the very first look to its non-packaging: a black CD on a sort of golden transparent plate. It looks like something you can hang to the wall.
He doesn't fail to live up the expectations of his former records, Flow is actually his masterwork, helped out by Giacomo Fiorenza from 42 rec, a truly devotion to breezy soundscapes, guitar-based tunes, making symphony of laptop and keyboards, even turning almost sensorial in their melodious forms and immaginative phrasing (Have a nice trip G., truly ecstatic).
Kind of painstaking work and melancholic feelings merged through computers à la Ulrich Schnauss and Guitar, that means Dedo is musician and producer, able to think songs like The Wave - a potential alternative dancefloor hit, - and something more niche like By The Shore - a trascendental electro-stargaze hypnosis, shimmering sound-bath, both tracks sung by Lavinia De Santoli from Cat Claws.
There are also a couple of other radiofriendly songs, The Plunge and Free Dance vocals by Alain Marenghi from Isabel At Sunset: they sound like New Order remixes, while the instrumental Green Ceremony and Silver Snow maybe represent Panzera's brilliant autarky, - with Bunten Blumen Fur P. sets down the pace again to a more lysergic level, drumless. I love it.

42 rec. E facendo due calcoli, ecco la formula: 9 + 12 moltiplicato il secondo album = 42 records. Divertente, no?
No. Cmq sia, il nuovo disco di Panzera ha i numeri giusti per meritarsi ancora una volta rispetto, sin dal primo sguardo al non-packaging dello stesso: un CD nero incastonato in una lastra trasparante dorata. Sembra qualcosa che puoi appenderti al muro.
Dedo non tradisce quanto fatto in passato, e Flow rappresenta il fiore all'occhiello della sua produzione, questa volta aiutato a quattro mano da Giacomo Fiorenza della stessa 42 rec, insieme totalmente devoti ad ariose fughe sonore, melodie guitar-based, tutto reso sinfonico da laptop e tastiere, capace anche di risultare sensoriale nelle sue forme melodiose e nei fraseggi più creativi (Have a nice trip G., veramente estatica nell'ascesa).
Sorta di lavoro certosino e propensione malinconica sciorinata attraverso i computer sulla scia di Ulrich Schnauss e Guitar, questo vuol dire che Panzera è musicista e produttore, capace di pensare a canzoni come The Wave, - una potenziale hit da dancefloor alternativo - e qualcosa più di nicchia quale By The Shore, - trascendentale ipnosi electro-stargaze, un luccicante bagno di suono, - entrambi i pezzi, cantati da Lavinia De Santoli dei Cat Claws.
Ci sono anche un altro paio di pezzi più radiofriendly, ovvero The Plunge e Free Dance con Alain Marenghi degli Isabel At Sunset alla voce: suonano come dei remix dei più recenti remix dei New Order, mentre le strumentali Green Ceremony e Silver Snow potrebbero rappresentare la brillante autarchia di Panzera, con Bunten Blumen Fur P. che rallenta il passo su un livello più lisergico, senza ritmica.
