During the writing of December, Leo Minor found inspiration in the great Tibetan Book of the Dead.
We guess ours undertaken also an in-depth personal path of renounces to those three things which poison existence, according to the Buddhist dogma: Desire, Hatred and Ignorance.
Listening over and over to these intense four songs we're there to fall in love as a matter of faith with tracks such as gcig, gnyis-gsum, bzhi and inga, so, I guess we'll end to chain ourselves to their van someday soon, protesting against the venues which do not allow them to play a gig, also autistically hoping their tour will never end.
Okay, maybe we should get a new spiritual master, but, generally, since we discovered Lloyd Turner, Face like a Frog records is more than welcome here.
Leo minor folks, like with the two of Hints, have got a special skill in creating cinematic ambients, plus add the gigantic sound production by Lorenzer and an inclination for a seducing, instrumental phrasing.
During the 90s, some of them experimented open minded forms of crossover music with C9, as well as deconstructed hardcore formulas with Wood on Giulio Repetto's Green records. Hat off, please.
The three from Verbania [northern Italy] make the point starting from Quicksand, Fugazi and Refused, elaborating coordinates which get closer to the current neurotic music constellation formed by Red Sparowes, Isis, Russian Circle and Envy.
Besides the aquatic and cerebral basis, doubtless post-rock, Leo Minor are able to be impressive with some less obsucre ambients that, more or less consciously, call some old New Order-ish listening which somehow absorb the devastating impact à la Cult of Luna.
Past urban legends from the past of the roman hardcore scene talk of memorable performances of Growing Concern in some Krishna resorts downhere.
Let's imagine that happened for Leo Minor too, - maybe that would not help us to reach Nirvana, but probably it would be a good way to better understand the great Liberation through the listening of the Bardo Thodol.
not yet, probably nobody cares, or nobody cared enough to tell something. Also: nobody reads komakino.
