Radio"), is two piece from UK, and Parts sees 19 short parenthesis of elegiacal and hypnagogic shoegazing ambients, instrumental, - guitar and keyboards like strings, digital programming, soft blows of celestial ecstasy and serene abandon of You in Your-self (The Immense Quiet Of The Dark Blue).
Truly dramatic (Rain On The Rocks) and mesmeric (End Of A Wild Life).
Stars of the Lid are not far here and there and together they remember us we are buggers in the universe, but, I'd say that lifeblood of this record is differently addicted to drones, it's less stellar and more cinematic, - like, Up By The Roots is even epic, - and I'll tell You, - I believe this record is like the missing sound track for a next Gregg Araki's movie. The Dead Texan may be are a more precise coordinate, too.
Mono recorded, - if You listen to this record driving Your car at night, - I'm sure that at a certain point all the other sounds - car's engine noise, breaks, people, - everything will disappear suddenly, You'll find yourself alone, You and everything mute, but these sounds, and You won't care a thing to close Your eyes.
So, don't drive and listen to this record, You're warned.

Radio"), è un duo della GB, e Parts vede 19 breve parentesi di elegiaci quanto ipnagogici ambient shoegaze, strumentali, - chitarra e tastiere come archi, digital programming, - delicati afflati di estasi celeste e sereno abandono di sè in se stessi (The Immense Quiet Of The Dark Blue).
Sinceramente drammatici (Rain On The Rocks) e mesmerici (End Of A Wild Life).
Gli Stars of the Lid non sono cosí lontani qua e là per ricordarci che siamo solo delle caccole nell'universo, ma, direi che la linfa vitale di questo disco è diversamente assuefatta ai droni, quindi è meno stellare è più sul fronte cinematico, se non addirittura epico, - sentite Up By The Roots, - anzi, direi che Parts è un perfetto candidato per fare da colonna sonora ad un prossimo film di Gregg Araki.
Forse i Dead Texan sono una coordinata più precisa.
Registrato mono, - se Vi dovesse capitare di ascoltare questo disco in auto mentre guidate di notte, sono sicuro che ad un certo punto tutti i suoni esterni - il rumore del motore, i freni, la gente, - tutto svanirebbe all'improvviso, - Vi ritrovereste da soli, - muti Voi e tutto il resto, - salvo questi suoni, - e magari non Vi importerebbe più di provare a chiudere gli occhi.
Insomma, non guidate ascoltando questo disco, siete avvisati.
