Torna lo space-rock lo-fi degli Sciflyer, stavolta su
etichetta Clairecords
e con più grinta del solito. Mi vengono in mente degli Hawkwind, post dreampop Jesus & Mary Chain e orfani dell'elettronica. Rispetto
al passato è emersa una piacevole irrequietezza punk (pensavo ai Buzzcocks (COSA??
- ndkoma)) e si è compiuta anche la svolta melodica preannunciata
dal precedente ep (leggi passate recensio su koma). Detto cosí sembra un casino e
si fà fatica a capire quale sia il genere di stò gruppo, diciamo shoegazer con
qualche suggestione sci-fi, come tra l'altro la titolazione della banda suggerisce, molta
psychedelia e le voci soffocate nel suono. Ok ragazzi, però cercate di mixare
tutto alla stesso volume, perchè l'ultima traccia è il doppio più alta delle
altre, iniziando all'improvviso ti crea squilibri cardiaci e problemi col condominio.
Se sopravvivo all'attacco di cuore ci vediamo all'assemblea...

Sciflyer's lo_fi space-rock is back, this time through Clairecords, and with a new hot gear. I think of Hawkwind, post dreampop Jesus & Mary Chain and other orphans of electronic music. Differently from past, a pleasant punk wilderness risen up (i thought of Buzzcocks? (-What?- koma's note)), and previously announced promise has been kept (read the past review on koma). If said like that, it's difficult, I know, to figure a genre I'm trying to describe. Let's say they're shoegazers with some sci-fi atmospheres (as for some reasons, their name can suggest), with a lot of psychedelia too and vocals swallowed into sound. Well guys, I only ask you next time to mix each song with the same volume level, because songs start suddenly, and this can make not happy the neighbourhood.
