Bass player and second drummer of Ten Thousand Bees, Fabio Arnosti collects eight tracks of brilliant indie / electro pop and releases His debut behind Arnoux monicker. The guy is clearly talented, that's more than a side-project, and His Music sounds to me like a true exception in italy: - He knows how to mix minimalism of rain-soaked / blips electronica (A Secret Dance by Isadora Duncan) with joyous analogic alternative pop sentimentality (Mia & Me - truly an underground hit song), - with high results and good taste. Acoustic guitars, cold pulse, piano, percussions, violins, keyboard melodies against synth burbles and boy/girl vocals (Today, a Rainy Day). An effervescent tune as Fucked up, Got Ambushed, Zipped In seems to be a sincere manifesto that in USA would renew the fortune of Bright Eyes or the popularity of Her Space Holiday. In Amy Reno, Arnoux pushes the boundaries of an exquisite childish singsong through a bittersweet hip-hop groove. A couple of solid gold hits, - the other tracks left are sun kissed anyway, to be heard while You are taking iridescent pictures of Your girlfriend swimming underwater. - Not Your next music addiction, yet, for sure, it's worthy praise and attention.
