Amaury Cambuzat, formerly Ulan Bator and Faust, debuts with a new project, Chaos Physique, - three piece band, a psychedelic kraut rock journey in 8 stops.
The spartan cover art shows a sort of flogged-Christ homemade kit, and maybe You wish you ended up on a cross either, rather than listening until the last song of this record: just kidding. Anyway, what would Jesus play like in a psychedelic band? Maybe that's Chaos Physique's point.
Track #2, Sun Run Fun Gun, is a silent black as night mystic song, - low voices invoking a higher deity, funeral drumming. And if they're not calling God, maybe they're calling a Monkey, same sense of holy, as it follows with Litany For A Monkey, - noisy, obsessive, percussive.
One more carefree march, direction Death, is represented by Jeux De Promesses, a doomy intense room, where the severe dissonant sounds are like breathing in and out. Neutrons Protons is a fast run into noise, breathless, bass drum constantly kicked hard.
Last track Socraterock is a 13 minutes kaleidoscope fall into the void, - so-kraut-rock, maybe, emphasized by an endless loop of voices, it's that water turnt wine at the end of the dinner, departed from the custom of serving the best wine first by serving it last [> wiki].
Not an essential album, but a good piece of psychedelic to lose your self.

La spartana immagine di copertina vede una sorta di kit fatto in casa per Cristi flagellati, e forse pure voi preferireste finire su una croce piuttosto che arrivare sino all'ultima canzone di questo disco: no, scherzo. Cmq sia, come suonerebbe Gesù in una band psichedelica? Forse questo è il punto di partenza dei Chaos Physique.
La traccia #2, Sun Run Fun Gun, è una canzone di misticismo nero pece, - voci basse che invocano una deità più alta, batteria funerea. E se non stanno a chiamare Dio, forse chiamano una Scimmia, stesso senso del sacro, come nella seguente Litany For A Monkey, - rumorosi, ossessivi, percussivi.
Un'altra marcia allegra, destinazione Morte, è rappresentata da Jeux De Promesses, una stanza di intensa distruzione, dove i severi suoni dissonanti sono come dei respiri che vanno e vengono. Neutrons Protons è invece una veloce corsa nel noise, senza posa, con la cassa picchiata constantemente dritta.
In ultimo, Socraterock è una traccia di 13 minuti, caleidoscopica caduta nel vuoto, - so-kraut-rock, - gioco di parole forse, enfatizzata da un infinito loop di voci, è quell'acqua mutata vino, - differenziando il gruppo dall'uso di servire il miglior vino all'inizio anzichè alla fine della cena [> wiki].
Non un album essenziale, ma un bel pezzo di psichedelia in cui perdersi.
