Lush, aka Things
in Herds, from UK, is a singer-songwriter with a smallpigs-based
obsession.. just joking: but pigs are everywhere in his CD covers
(by Miss Ping,
at backing vocals blending with Pete), and it's odd as well as funny
and such so delicate. After former album I can dance and walking
(reviewed
on some koma's ago), it's time for one more touching gem, self
released. Two first opening songs are kind of sweet terms of being
in a Quiet Condition, acoustic or electric, but never violent. Love,
Melancholy, through folk structures (cats miaow dream!), alternated
with rocking tracks like perfect hit No one said a word (download
the song here),
- always under a shadow of low & sensitive, framed by sparkling
electronics. It'a daydream album, with the wind blowing wild outside
the window, and the day turning into grey. - - Coordinates:

Pete Lush, aka Things in Herds, dagli Uk, è un cantante-cantautore con un'ossessione da maialini acuta.. scherzo: ma di maialini ce n'è il pieno dappertutto nell'artwork dei suoi dischi (by Miss Ping, anche ai cori con Pete), ed è tanto bizzarro quanto divertente quanto è delicato. Dopo il precedente album I can dance and walking (recensito qlc koma fa), è tempo per un'altra gemma commovente, - autoprodotto. Le prime due tracce di apertura sono una sorta di dolci termini dell'essere in una Quieta Condizione, acustici o elettrici, ma mai violenti. Amore, Malinconia, attraverso strutture folk (sogno del miagolio dei gatti!), alternate a canzoni più movimentate come il perfetto hit No one said a word (scaricala qui sul sito), - sempre sotto un'ombra di lento e sensibile, incorniciata da frizzanti elettroniche. E' un album da sogno ad occhi aperti, con il vento fuori la finestra che soffia imperterrito, e il giorno che piega verso il grigio. - - Coordinate: Super Furry Animals, Belle & Sebastian.
