"Matt Jones and his bride to be Jenny, sing catchy tongue-in-cheek tunes about roller-skates, love, and space aliens under a haze of pot smoke and 8-bit Nintendo music tracks."

I like this introduction Jonesin', San Francisco-based two piece, made for Their bizzarre irresistible Music.
Hard to label, it goes from Saturday Looks Good To Me / Camera Obscura-ish opus How Much You Wanna Bet, to a sort of electronic-toy bedroom Music loaded on an old Nintendo (Ice cream, Rollerskates, the frenzy on Bummer Summer), accompanied by a casio or yamaha keyboard, and with boy/girl vocals duetting/answering each other, something i totally loved in The Chalets years ago.
Anyway, said this, You wouldn't expect a song like Ghosts No Way, - almost country, with mrs.-to-be Jones sugary singing like a young baby girl chewing bubble gum - or better, listen this, like the virginal Olivia Newton John powered by hot pants in Grease, - and with Matt, dressing a cowboy hat à la Lee Hazlewood, playing a folk guitar, and She at piano. I'm ready to bet They have lot of fun doing this together.
Twee pop vs. 8bit synth-pop, naive, somehow retrò, catchy, - the italian ultra-indie record label Shit Music for Shit People (great name!) presses a tape release (yes, on tape) limited to 100 copies of this brilliant Hi, We're Jonesin', with a related free mp3 download.
Truly lovable, thumbs up, we love people that know how to have fun with Music.

++++
