Fate vobis.

Camera Shy - Jumping Fences and Cutting Corners (7tx K7 - Best Kept Secret 'o7 ) - Excellent tape cassette label Best Kept Secret still rocks - very spartan aesthetics and inspired artists, - ultra-unknown and generous hearted. For this round, we got the tape of a promising californian three piece (and if You get a look to their pictures, apparently, they are twelve yrs old), and with a name like that - i trust You already guessed they don't play hardcore punk à la Discharge, - no, they embody the quintessence of that sentimental/soppy indiepop that used to be, just like mom did (Isobel? he-he-he), - i mean, it's not that kind of embarassing and pretentious stuff of nowadays which turns trade edition after a couple of weeks, but rather it is about mixed old-school phlegms, and - yep - bedroom recorded. Sure, on the long distance, it feels like You need some more noise-driven parenthesis.. come on, crib Smiths' London, with lumpy guitars and a couple of titles like "Berlusconi die" and You'll be almost perfect. Somehow they made me think of Brittle Stars or of The Field Mice, - but who knows, maybe not all that much. Fate vobis .
