New line-up, Comaneci now sees Francesca Amati, at vocals, and Glauco Salvo, guitars, in this EP that represents Their welcome record at Madcap Collective, having joined the family some weeks of months ago, - actually one of most interesting indie labels for experimental and alternative pop Music in Italy.
Listening to Comaneci's Music is like when You're in car in a silent dark night for a long trip on the highway to go, and the songs You put on are exactly the right ones to crash soon or later against a tree.
You'll feel soothed, healed, lulled by the piano notes in Battle, or the gentle guitar chords and banjo riffs in 12_23_03, - while Amati's voice lovely scratch Your heart like a cat's meow (Pumpkin Snatching (Song Of A Cold World)), pure in a sort of evocative sadness and lethargic laziness.
Time Will Tell is hypnotic and noisy, while In a Week, with simple acoustic and breathy guitars drives straight You to the above mentioned tree, and later, to the impact, You're pretty sure You'll feel like relieved: You'll find Your-self dreaming of crashing again, understanding and feeling the weird fragile beauty of this EP.

Nuova line-up, Comaneci ora vede Francesca Amati, alla voce, e Glauco Salvo, alle chitarre, in questo EP che rappresenta la Loro pubblicazione di benvenuto alla Madcap Collective, essendo entrati in famiglia qualche settimana fa, - in quella che, a modesto avviso di qui, è una delle più interessanti label per Musica sperimentale e pop diverso in Italia.
Ascoltare la Musica dei Comaneci mi fa pensare a quando si è in auto in una buia notte silente, nel mezzo di un lungo viaggio in autostrada, e le canzoni che si mettono sù per accompagnarci sono esattamente quelle che prima o poi Ti fanno andare a sbattere contro un albero.
Vi sentirete cullati, curati, le ferite si ricuciono sulle note di piano in Battle, o per i gentili accordi di chitarra e riff di banjo in 12_23_03, - mentre la voce dell'Amati amorevolmente Vi graffia il cuore come un miagolio (Pumpkin Snatching (Song Of A Cold World)), in una purezza evocativa, malinconia e letargica pigrezza.
Time will Tell è ipnotica e rumorosa, mentre In a Week, con una semplice chitarra acustica da una parte e dall'altra una simile a dei respiri Vi guida dritti dritti al sopra citato albero, - e nel momento dell'impatto siete piuttosto certi che Vi sentirete come sollevati: Vi ritroverete a sognare di nuovo di quella botta finale, comprendendo finalmente e avvertendo la bizzarra e fragile bellezza di questo EP.
