Sinceramente difficilmente ci era capitato di ascoltare un disco cosí bello proveniente dall'area che va dal Manzaranne al Reno.
Almeno in queste sonorità. Siamo pronti a fare il gioco delle figurine con chi voglia insinuare il contrario.
Her Flatterly ricorda molto le atmosfere dei Deus, ma con tutto il retrogusto malinconico e sonico dei Dinosaur Jr. o l'aria di chi si nasconde in una casa abbandonata come nello splendido video di Get me, assaltata da monelli in fuga dal parco giochi.
Forse il video non era proprio quello, ma la mia memoria è satura solo dei giochi del cazzo della mia gioventù.
Tubchair è un vero singolo indie, se ha senso parlare di hit in questo circuito.
Se i Jesus Lizard avessero visto crollare qualche grattacielo con il sottofondo dei Pixies e avessero sperimentato uno stile più fluido e meno controllato e ossessivo sarebbe uscito qualcosa del genere. Bellissimo.
Il batterista è un grande e le sue eccelse frequentazioni in ambiti jazz arrichiscono notevolmente tutto l'impatto del long playing.

Their drummer is ace, and his excellent jazzy digressions considerably enrich the whole long playing impact.
