Three tracks only, anyway, there's much more (i'm so funny, i know). Jokes apart, They're worthy of appreciation, it's clear there's something more here, especially because these tree tracks offer an interesting preview of Piano For Airport's sound, - new band from Rome, focusing on noisy indie pop, male vocals drawing a particular synergy between leading and backing roles, energetic drumming (Fake Nora), neat guitar play, and some spare hints of electronic sampling. Somehow They remind me of Pinback and early Death Cab for Cutie, for sure not that seasoned but with a strong attention for arrangements, - i'd say they share certain common pop sensibilities, where emotions meet harmonies and harmonies meet brilliant refrains (Inline), - something particulary unusual in italy.
Tre tracce soltanto, comunque sia, c'è much more (ah-ah). Basso umorismo a parte, Loro meritano apprezzamento, - è chiaro che c'è molto di più proprio perchè queste tre tracce offrono un'interessante assaggio del sound dei Piano For Airport, da Roma, concentrati su dell'indie pop dissonante, con le voci che disegnano una particolare sinergia tra cantato e controcanto, un drumming energetico (Fake Nora), un bel lavoro di chitarre, e accenni sparsi di campionamenti elettronici. In qualche modo mi ricordano di Pinback e primi Death Cab for Cutie, per certo non nella maturità della scrittura, per quanto molto attenta, ma direi ne condividono una certa sensibilità pop, dove le emozioni incontrano le armonie, e le armonie sposano brillanti ritornelli (Inline), - qualcosa di particolarmente insolito in italia.
