If the first track of this self-titled album was Guruji, You'd think of the Pixies with a new female singer, with a more radio-friendly footprint for the Music, making everything in total rock&roll attitude, altough more accessible than indie, due to Her rancid/dirty voice, kind of aggressive and sexy too, able to ease the appealing orgy of chorus-verse-chorus structures. On the other side, if the opening song had been Ordinary Day, followed by These Days You could have ask Your-self what the fuck..? Sheryl Crow? - Totally mainstream as it is. So, LA-based artist Johnnie, pictured on the backcover CD in shorts, rock-star_like playing guitar in the bathroom, like outing She's a hot babe of diversity, Johnnie's swinging between playing alternative power pop (Volcano, Hello Lover, Too Sweet to Taste), and mellifluous classic american rock Music (Mockingbird, Too Sweet Too Taste), on both fronts with potential hits of a combat baby. D'altro canto, se l'apertura fosse stata lasciata a Ordinary Day, seguita magari poi da These Days, probabile Vi sareste chiesti maccheccazz..? Sheryl Crow?
