Alternative folk-rock music, american footprint style although Route 66 leads to Naples in this case, southern italy: - The Debut of Lady June is actually The One's' full lenght debut, introduced some months ago by Dream cd single (read past komareview).
While I'll Disappear, sung by the guitarist Valerio Menicocci, as well as Midnight's Talker, are maybe their real american-like country songs among all eleven tracks, wild and ready to make people dance in a bar, - all other songs left have got Love as their own verb, - keyword for romantic ballads (piano driven Shine In The Wind, Kathy & Me..) and carefree faster escapes (Little Fun, Dream, I Haven't Lost My Hope Yet), evocative dreamy melodies where Damiano Davide is the man for a nostalgic songwriting, - young storyteller, - sometimes even too much in loved with Love itself.
Anyway there's Roads, last track, to open a window of their future action potential, - slow, guitar with tremolo, cowboy harmonica, - half instrumental, is an one-way ticket for an oversea echo, - the band is able to draw some interesting narcoleptic smoke rings.
If You're fan of Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, as well You're also fascinated by heavy mellow doses of non-muscular love songs, this is your music: except done for a recognizable italian accent, The One's are your fresh meat, packaged in a nice cardboard digipack.
