Cranes performed live, again downhere. They know They'll always find Love here in Rome. - Personally, my 5th live show. They started at 10.30pm. Just a couple of songs from latest self-titled album, released this month (Wires, above filmed, Worlds, Panorama). I'd have loved if They played Wonderful Things, - actually my favorite piece of Music among Their new tracks, together with Collecting Stones. Truly moving. Then, the classics: Jewel, Everywhere, Adrfit, Far Away, Clear, E.G. Shining, Shining Road, Paris and Rome, and Lilies as closure, with a false start, because Jim didn't remember how to play it! And Alison asked to restart :-) . Alison and Jim exchanged each other a smile each time They started and play one of the above mentioned classics.. like to say 'we knew they were waiting for this to come..', with the audience clapping and yelling since the first riff. On the track list, also Particles and Waves, Here Comes the Snow, Future Song, Flute Song, Sunrise.

My complaint: They didn't have guitar amplifiers, then Their sound was kind of weak and icy, especially, if like me, You were right behind the stage: - the audio output was all filtered through the venue's sound system, - not good, not good at all.. And two: during some songs, the bass was pre-recorded.. hmm why? i mean, I saw hundred times Alison playing bass and singing (and She's good with that!), as well as Benjamin Baxter playing bass lines since Their previous tour when He joined Them.. hmmmm.
Last but not least: They have a new drummer for this tour, a german fully-tatooed young man, dressing a panthera tshirt and using a double kick for his drum set. Yesterday it was His second gig with Cranes, after a 5 weeks training, - as i heard Benjamin say. I'd state He did his work, He's been precise, - and notwistanding the coldness of playing an electronic drum set, i enjoyed His efforts; - no idea why He replaced Jon Callendar, - He was really good too.
I LOVE Cranes, but last two shows didn't caress my little bloody cold heart as i needed.. i hoped They performed Adoration, They didn't :-(
At the end of the show, They exchanged some words with people, and singed CDs. Very friendly. Alison is a sweet girl, a beautiful soul, Her vocals and Their Music are still oxygen to me.

0ttima recensione! Per me č stata il primo concerto dei Cranes, quindi nonostante i problemi evidenti di cui hai scritto, mi sono emozionata parecchio. :)
