Per un pelo... in programma una birretta senza impegno, perchè è lunedí e domani si va al lavoro... poi la mia amica mi chiama: "C'è un concerto all'Idroscalo, costa solo 5€, ti va di andarci? Si chiamano Gossip, li conosci per caso?" Se mi va di andare?! Bhè la prima cosa che noto una volta arrivati è tutta la gente seduta con gli occhi fissi sul maxischermo che sta opposto al palco... oh no! C'è la partita! (Svezia-Ucraina? Scusate, non sono molto ferrata di calcio, nemmeno se si tratta di mondiali) Aspetteranno che finisca per iniziare? L'attesa si prospetta lunga! Mentre aspetto e chiacchiero con un'amica, vedo Hannah che gioca con un cane che gironzola ed elemosina attenzioni da un po' lí intorno... fino a quel momento nessuno lo aveva accontentato per paura che sí appiccicasse tutta la sera. Cosí la mia amica mi dice "hey, quel ragazzo sta facendo un grosso errore, dovrà giocarci tutta la sera ormai!" al che io rispondo "bhè, in effetti quella è la batterista dei Gossip!".. un po' androgina in effetti, visto che la mia amica ride e ammette "L'avevo scambiata per un ragazzo!". Fortunatamente, alla fine dei supplementari, i Gossip salgono sul palco, senza aspettare i rigori. Ci avviciniamo tutti (fa caldo e siamo in tanti, menomale che è all'aperto!) mentre Beth cerca di dire qualche parola in italiano tipo "Ciao... pesca, pesche...". Bel concerto, davvero coinvolgente. E Beth è fantastica e divertente. Dalla "lesbian song" [personalmente manca alla mia discografia] all'attesissima Standing In The Way Of Control cantata per ultima e dopo un piccolo bluff di Beth. Ed è proprio durante quest'ultimo pezzo che Beth scende tra il pubblico: mi distraggo un attimo, alzo gli occhi e non la vedo più! Dov'è finita?! Poi vedo il delirio di ragazzi che ballano appiccicati alla transenna: è scesa dal palco! E non contenta, passa le transenne e balla in mezzo al pubblico. Ci siamo divertiti un sacco, e anche chi non li conosceva, è uscito dal concerto davvero galvanizzato! Peccato solo per le luci (concerto un po' buio), che non mi hanno permesso di fare foto decenti. Mi faccio perdonare con qualche video, ma anche qui, perdonatemi le teste (non sono una stangona in effetti) e se sono troppo mossi... bhè, ok documentare, ma anch'io avevo il diritto di ballare no?! Nip & tuck.. the original plan was a beer together, and going back home early, since it was monday, and the day after i should have woken up to go work.. but this friend of mine gave me a call and said "there is a live show at Idroscalo, it's 5€, are You coming? - It's the Gossip, - maybe You know them?" - Sure i do! Well, the first thing i note when we are there, it's that all the people firmly eye a maxiscreen, opposite to the stage.. oh no! there's a football match tonight (Sweden vs Ucraina? Sorry, i'm not exactly into soccer, neithern if it's about the world cup). So, is the show frozen until the match is on? - It looks like a long wait to come! In the meanwhile i'm talking with my friend, and i see Hannah playing with a dog that was begging for food and attention.. and nobody cared about him until that, because everybody knew that if they have done, the doggy would have never let them go for all the night long.. then my friend says me "hey, that boy is doing a big error, he didn't realize he'll have to play with him all the night" and i answer 'well, that boy is The Gossip's drummer, a girl'.. actually, a little bit androgynous.. - she smiles and admits 'i really mistaken her for a boy!'. - Luckly, without waiting the penalties, The Gossip jumped on stage, Everybody gets closer to the stage (the weather was hot, but luckly the show was in an open space), while Beth tries to say some words in italian, like "Ciao.. pesca, pesche..". - Great show, drifting indeed. And Beth is amazing and funny. From the "lesbian song" (frankly i don't have that track) to the awaited Standing in the Way of Control, - sung as last number, after a little Beth's bluff. - And it's right during this last performance that Beth mingles with the people: as i turn my eyes away for a moment, - i don't see her anymore.. where was she? Then i note some kids in full delirium, dancing glued to the transenna, and Beth gets off the stage, and start dancing with them. - We had really a good time, and even who saw them for the first time was galavnized! What a pity about the lights (a nearly dark show), - thing that didn't allow me to do some good shots. But i did some videos, hopefully You can forgive me then, - but, i know, they're not all that great - you'll see a lot of heads (yes i'm not all that tall).. and sorry if they are blurred too.. well, ok me too i had the right to dance! - What else?
