Synthpop and new-wave are the rule, via drumming and sequencer (particularly groovy on almost-aggressive closure of Trigger). Gripweed, from south italy, look like abiding with a sensitive melodic line, dance-floor soft electronica, soft altough dirty in guitars, energic bass lines and syncopated beats. Cristian Rosa's vocals stay clean, no need virtuosity, - even if some special fx would enrich in being more phisychal. Happy End - last track - calls at its best the traditional coordinates of genre with dark spirit, - and You can also hear a fairly good attention for song-writing. - I believe that a less lo-fi production would render more creative outcomes, seen that right overthere, in Austria as well in Germany, - between future-pop and synth-electronica there are even fiercer armies. - music @ myspace/gripweed
not yet, probably nobody cares, or nobody cared enough to tell something. Also: nobody reads komakino.
