Parenthetical Girls are a 4 piece Band from Portland, whose unique (music) aim is to make You cry. - At least that's what i believe in. - I mean, Safe as Houses never fails in its everlasting nostalgic tone, a smart delicate song-writing wavering indie pop and twee music together, well mixing electronic instrumentation and glockenspiel peal. It seems to me like a beautiful series of lullabies for a bucolic funeral, with a vision of the beloved dead's spirit flying to the sky accompanied by aseual angels broken in pain. Think of Radiohead, Sigur Ros and Belle and Sebastian, Mùm, - Parenthetical Girls' Music is equally accessible and intriguing, yet too much elegant for majors. The Weigh She Fell Under and Oh Daughter/Disaster are pure pearls, strong enough to become Their classics, - with singer's voice at its top nervous, delicate falsetto over stunning lyrics of destruction and innocence.. In some days They'll tour italy, and then a gig in rome, - i guess i'll be right sitted in front of the stage, hypnotized and dreamy. - The whole album is like an excellent story-teller.
