I'm new to Bandage, from Novara, northern italy, - while i just come from reading They're making Music since a decade, - blame on me, - btw now They're out with a new release, Can't Find, featuring 4 songs from previous Things Happen (2005, self prod.) and 4 new tracks: as coordinates i might talk of Screeming Trees, as well as about more stoned Husker Du, - Bandage are not easy to label, - and if i said just psychedelic rock, - that might be confusing: They seem to follow some conventional pop structures although the music surface's often wracked by noisy and bitter guitars patterns and solos (the eleven mins trip of Radio Breakdown, or Wrinkles), - songwriting is both sober and exploratory of the underground / alternative pop schemes, - the bluesy warm male vocals well accentuate Their crescendo. - Last: the sombre sound production doesn't do justice to Their cause. Sono nuovo ai Bandage, da Novara, - mentre leggo invece che Loro sono in giro a far Musica da quasi una decade, - chiedo venia, - in ogni modo ora sono in attivo con una nuova uscita, Can't Find, dove figurano 4 canzoni dalla precedente autoproduzione Things Happen (2005), e 4 nuovi pezzi: come coordinate potrei citare Screeming Trees, o dei più riposati Husker Du, - i - Bandage non sono cmq facili da etichettare, - e se dicessi giusto psychedelic rock, potrebbe essere riduttivo: sembrano seguire strutture pop convenzionali sebbene la superficie musicale sia spesso spezzata da pattern e solo di chitarra rumorosi e amari (gli undici minuti di viaggio di Radio Breakdown, o Wrinkles), - dove lo stile è contemporaneamente sobrio ed esploratore di schemi pop underground/alternative, - poi la voce calda blueseggiante del cantante ben accentua i Loro crescendo. - In ultimo, unica macchia: la produzione delle tracce è un pò plumbea nei suoni, - questo non rende giustizia alla Loro causa.
