I am ready to bet that lovely people as Devics, Lonely Drifter Karen, A Hack and a Hacksaw, The Black Heart Procession, Tapes 'n Tapes, or our beloved dead Nino Rota would LOVE this magnificent album by Ralfe Band.. And maybe do They already have it? Let me know. BTW, London based quartet known as Ralfe Band conjugates concept of weird in its highest inspiration, playing from accordion to cowbells, - and the result is an extremely enchanting folk-waltz poetry, not mournful yet almost happy, from bittersweet instrumental cabaret of Siberia (one more bet: Federico Fellini or Kusturica would recognize something of Their films in these recording) to taverns of Frascati Way Southbound. - 1500 Years is a song to sing-along, drinking something in a random company, then You get up and start dancing, You cannot resist, and You feel like happy to live one more time as You didn't since ages. Just an opionion? - Listen to Broken Teeth Song, - introduced by a dog barking and a catchy squeeze box play. Storytellers, dreamers, surrealist drinkers, - i mean, something *special*. - More the whole digipack thing is really artistic.

Forse ce l'hanno già? Fatemelo sapere. Cmq, da Londra, il quartetto mis-conosciuto come Ralfe Band coniuga al meglio il concetto di bizzarro nella sua più alta ispirazione, - suonando dall'accordion alle campane al collo delle vacche, - e il risultato è una poesia folk-waltz estremamente incantevole, non funebre, anzi, quasi felice, dal cabaret strumentale agrodolce di Siberia (altra scommessa: Federico Fellini o Kusturica ci riconoscerebbero dentro qualcosa delle Loro pellicole) alle taverne di Frascati Way Southbound. - 1500 Years è una canzone da cantare verso dopo verso, bevendo qualcosa in compagnia di sconosciuti, per poi sentire il bisogno di alzarsi in piedi e cominciare a ballare, - non si resiste, anzi, Vi sentireste addirittura felici di essere in vita come non Vi succedeva da tempo. - Esagerazione? - AscoltateVi la Broken Teeth Song, introdotta da un cane che abbaia e un'accattivante giro di fisarmonica. Sono raccontastorie, sognatori, ubriaconi surrealisti, - qualcosa di speciale. - In ultimo, l'intero artwork del digipack è davvero artistico. // A fine mese sono in tour in italia!
